Link Tree Sucks (If You Have a Website)!

Linktree started out as a creative, slick way to display all of your contact information on Instagram because they only allowed one link on your profile. Admittedly, Linktree is a cool idea that solves a niche problem. That’s all fine and dandy, but now there’s a new (easily avoidable) problem in town.

The new problem is this; you don’t need a Linktree. Anyone who is anyone on the internet these days has their own website. If this is you, then you need to cancel your subscription to Linktree and update your website. With the click of a few buttons, you can create your very own Linktree clone, and the best part is that it’s hosted directly on your personal website. Isn’t that exactly where you want people to be? Why send them from your social media to a third-party site back to other social media, when you could directly connect them right to your website? Take a look at my example in the featured image at the beginning of this post.

Using Elementor (a drag-and-drop WYSIWYG website builder), I was able to put this together in 5-minutes. I could make it fancy by adding social media icons and a detailed background as well. It’s all very easy to do. The end result? I now have a page on my personal website that links everyone to all of my personal links. The best part? 100% of this traffic will end up on my personal website before going anywhere else, and at no extra (monthly or annual subscriptions) cost to me.

What are you waiting for? Cancel your Linktree account today and leave the link to your new and improved page in the comments. I would love to see what you came up with.

Thank you for reading and following along.
